[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] A 29-story neighborhood living facility and officetel will be built near Dolgoti Station on Subway Line 6.

On the 8th, Seoul City held the 15th Urban and Architectural Joint Committee and announced on the 9th that it had approved a revised detailed development plan for Seokgwan District Center Special Planning Zone 2 in Seongbuk-gu.

The site is a station area adjacent to Dolgoti Station on Subway Line 6, and is a neighborhood commercial area adjacent to Zone 4 of the Jangwi Redevelopment Promotion District, which is currently under demolition.

With the detailed development plan finalized, the area will have neighborhood living facilities and 265 officetel units ranging from 5 basement floors to 29 floors above ground. The plan also includes public facility burdens such as widening the road lanes of Hwarang-ro and Dolgoti-ro and installing public open spaces.

Construction is scheduled to begin next year and be completed in 2024. A Seoul city official said, "This detailed development plan decision provides an opportunity to renovate areas densely packed with aging buildings," and added, "Together with the Jangwi Redevelopment Promotion project, the Seokgwan District Center will greatly contribute to improving and developing the local environment."
