[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Samsung Electronics, which has been strengthening its mid-to-low price lineup recently, is expected to unveil its large-capacity budget smartphone ‘Galaxy M52’ soon.
On the 8th (local time), IT specialized media SamMobile reported that the release of the M52 (model number SM-M526BR/DS) is imminent, based on the opening of support pages on Samsung Electronics’ France and India websites.
The M52 is expected to be equipped with a large-capacity battery of up to 7000 milliampere-hours (mAh) and is likely to support 25-watt (W) fast charging. The predecessor, ‘Galaxy M51,’ released in August last year, was also noted for its 7000mAh large-capacity battery.
The application processor (AP) is expected to adopt Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G and be equipped with 6GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 778G is an advanced processor built using TSMC’s 6-nanometer (nm) process technology. It offers a triple image signal processor (ISP) that enables simultaneous shooting of three photos or videos, including wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and zoom.
Additionally, the M52 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display supporting Full HD+ resolution and a 120-hertz (Hz) refresh rate, with storage options of 64GB and 128GB, and a micro SD card slot. The camera setup is anticipated to include a 32-megapixel front selfie camera and a quad-camera system on the rear, with a 64-megapixel main sensor.
