Seven Eleven is holding a promotion for its fresh food brand 'Seven Farm' where customers receive one free item when purchasing two of the three types of One-Meal Vegetables.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] As the application and payment of the COVID-19 coexistence national support fund began, convenience stores have strengthened their grocery product lineup and launched discount events.
On the 8th, Seven Eleven announced that it improved the quality and taste of its own home meal replacement brand ‘Soban’ and newly released six products in the side dish (grilled fish), refrigerated noodles, and stew categories. When purchasing grilled fish, customers receive a free ‘Seven Select Glutinous Black Rice’, and for refrigerated noodles, a free ‘Mat Kimchi 50g’ or ‘Mini Danmuji’ is given. Two types of stews are also offered in a 1+1 promotion.
In addition, seasonal fruit products such as Ruby S apples and Shine Muscat grapes have been strengthened, and the in-house fresh food brand ‘Seven Farm’ offers a promotion where customers get one free when purchasing two of the three types of one-meal vegetables. Furthermore, five fresh food items including eggs, tofu, and bean sprouts are sold at an average discount of 22%.
Ministop is conducting '1+1' and '2+1' events on 1,674 products this month. Ministop explained that when the emergency disaster relief fund was distributed to all citizens in the first half of last year, sales analysis showed increases in alcoholic beverages, drinks, home meal replacements, daily necessities, and desserts, so discount events were planned focusing on these products. There is also a prize event where customers who purchase specific products can enter a draw to win round-trip airfare to Jeju Island.
A Ministop official said, “We prepared discount events centered on daily necessities to provide practical help to customers struggling with rising prices and to enable reasonable use of the national support fund,” adding, “We hope customers will enjoy economical consumption through various benefits throughout September.”
