[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 6th that it has opened the dedicated high-performance brand center for Mercedes-AMG, 'AMG Seoul.'
AMG Seoul, a dedicated dealership where customers can experience the AMG brand, is the first of its kind in Korea and the sixth AMG brand center worldwide. Mercedes-Benz Korea explained that with the opening of AMG Seoul, it has fully established the domestic AMG-exclusive infrastructure, following the 'AMG SPEEDWAY' and 'AMG Driving Academy.'
The newly opened AMG Seoul is located on Eonju-ro in Gangnam-gu, an area with high foot traffic and easy accessibility, featuring various cultural and convenience facilities. AMG Seoul, built on four floors above ground, consists of a first-floor AMG showroom and a service center capable of light maintenance, and a second floor with exhibition space and an AMG game zone. It can display up to eight vehicles, allowing visitors to experience a diverse lineup of AMG vehicles and the brand.
Mercedes-Benz Korea continues to introduce various AMG models in line with the growing domestic high-performance car market and the increasingly segmented customer demands. Last year, domestic AMG sales recorded 4,355 units, a 57% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, as of last month, 5,023 units were sold this year, surpassing last year's sales volume.
To commemorate the opening of AMG Seoul, Mercedes-Benz Korea appointed actress Lee Ha-nui as the AMG brand ambassador. Lee Ha-nui will deliver differentiated brand experiences and value to customers through various AMG events and activities over the next two years.
Thomas Klein, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea, said, "Through AMG Seoul, where customers can experience everything about AMG, we will provide a diverse AMG brand experience and actively lead the domestic high-performance car culture."
