[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Jeong Cheong-rae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, said to Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential pre-candidate and former Prosecutor General, "A painful time is now waiting for him. Not much time is left," predicting that Hong Joon-pyo, who is rising in approval ratings, will be chosen as the presidential candidate.

On the afternoon of the 5th, Jeong posted on his Facebook titled "MuyaHong, finally what was to come has come," saying, "The candidate structure of the People Power Party is shaking. The first poll results show Hong Joon-pyo overtaking Yoon Seok-yeol to rise to first place in suitability as the opposition party's presidential candidate."

'MuyaHong' is a newly coined term meaning "the opposition candidate must be Hong Joon-pyo," which emerged as Hong's support strengthened.

Jeong continued, "In polls, the trend is more important than the numbers. Yoon Seok-yeol is stagnant or declining, while Hong Joon-pyo is definitely on the rise," evaluating that a declining trend cannot overcome a rising one. "It is a blunder caused by Yoon Seok-yeol's verbal mistakes."

He added, "Yoon Seok-yeol makes verbal mistakes every time he opens his mouth. Lacking general political common sense, verbal mistakes are inevitable for him," explaining, "Yoon Seok-yeol's verbal mistakes will now accelerate his fall at an even faster speed with gravitational acceleration."

Referring to the 'accusation instigation' allegations surrounding Yoon, Jeong said, "Somehow, it feels like he is sinking deeper into a swamp," and "His unfavorable ratings seem to be rising as well."

Finally, Jeong forecasted toward Yoon, "Betraying after serving as Prosecutor General and then challenging for the presidency itself is a greedy comedy," adding, "The glory intoxicated by approval ratings is only temporary. Danger factors are lurking. My intuition says not much time is left."
