[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Kia announced on the 30th that it will provide a 'free vehicle interior air care service' for all passenger cars and recreational vehicles (RVs) customers.
Kia, in collaboration with its maintenance partner Auto Q, will offer the Care Fog service free of charge, which uses a mist spray of eco-friendly ingredients (phytoncide) to sterilize and apply antibacterial coating inside the vehicle interior and air conditioner.
The service will be available from the 1st of next month until October 15th. Customers can download a service coupon from Kia's integrated customer application 'VIK' and visit any Auto Q nationwide to receive the service.
Kia explained that this service was prepared to provide a pleasant environment by purifying the interior air for customers who have spent the summer using air conditioners frequently and require vehicle interior disinfection due to the spread of COVID-19.
A Kia official said, "We prepared this service for customers who have become more interested in air purification due to indoor air pollution caused by the spread of COVID-19 and summer air conditioner use," adding, "We will continue to provide various services to ensure customers' safe and comfortable vehicle operation."
