[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City will strengthen quarantine measures for about 5,000 'indoor smoking rooms' installed in PC rooms and snack bars in accordance with the Level 4 social distancing measures.


On the 27th, Seoul City announced that it plans to conduct joint on-site inspections with autonomous districts to check about 5,000 indoor smoking rooms.


The main inspection items include compliance with quarantine rules such as maintaining a 2-meter distance in indoor smoking rooms and single-person use in small spaces. Even in indoor smoking rooms, a 2-meter distance must be maintained according to the Level 4 distancing guidelines.


Seoul City stated, "Along with inspections, we will strengthen quarantine through guidance and publicity by distributing quarantine rule notices and stickers."
