CEO Kim Yong-han and Lee Ruda Receive Commendation from Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy

[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Iruda, a company specializing in aesthetic medical devices, announced on the 26th that CEO Yonghan Kim received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation at the '2021 Electronics and Related Components Industry Development Merit Awards.'


At the commemorative ceremony held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), Iruda was recognized for its outstanding achievements in the development of advanced technologies necessary for technological innovation in the electronics and related components industry through collaboration with KETI, contributing to industrial development and receiving a commendation.


CEO Yonghan Kim has been dedicated to medical device development for 26 years. Since founding Iruda in 2006, he has broken the domestic market’s reliance on imported medical devices, and further challenged overseas markets with products developed using domestic technology. Iruda’s excellence in products and technology has been recognized in over 50 countries worldwide, achieving more than 70% of its sales through exports, thereby contributing to national industrial development.


Since 2016, Iruda has conducted research and development of electronic medical devices utilizing various technologies through multi-year joint technology development with KETI. Notable achievements include the commercialization or preparation for commercialization of technologies such as line scan-type mole removal laser surgery devices, medical perforators and UV ultraviolet irradiators, temporomandibular joint pain treatment devices, facial analysis system technology using skin diagnosis big data, and skin diagnosis algorithm development.


CEO Yonghan Kim stated, “I am honored to receive this merit award, and I will continue to pursue research and development to secure future new growth engines by focusing on innovative technologies such as target lasers, artificial intelligence image diagnosis, and micro cooling therapy.”
