KOTRA and Alibaba Hold 'K-Consumer Goods Overseas Expansion Online Briefing and Consultation'

[Asia Economy Reporter Su-yeon Woo] KOTRA announced on the 24th that it will hold the 'K-Consumer Goods Overseas Expansion Online Briefing and Consultation' for three days starting from the 25th in collaboration with Alibaba Group. This is to open the doors of overseas markets to Korean companies that have found it difficult to develop overseas sales channels due to travel restrictions caused by COVID-19.

This project consists of a webinar (web seminar on the 25th) followed by a two-day one-on-one online consultation from the 26th. Through the webinar, KOTRA and Alibaba Group will introduce methods for entering the Chinese and global markets using four Alibaba platforms (Tmall Global, Kaola, Lazada, Alibaba.com). The webinar, starting at 2 p.m. on the 25th, can be viewed on YouTube's 'KOTRA Business Channel'.

Following this, the video consultation held for two days from the 26th will involve domestic small and medium-sized consumer goods companies participating in one-on-one online consultations with managers in charge of each Alibaba platform. The consultation will include online platforms such as ▲ Alibaba.com, a B2B (business-to-business) global platform ▲ Tmall Global and Kaola, CBT (cross-border trade) platforms ▲ Lazada, a leading platform in the Southeast Asian B2C (business-to-consumer) market.
