[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is launching efforts to attract companies related to artificial intelligence (AI) and big data.
On the 24th, Incheon TP announced that it will support the relocation of companies from other regions to Incheon to foster related industries and create jobs by establishing an AI innovation ecosystem that combines AI technology with Incheon's specialized industries such as bio health, environment, and mobility.
The support targets companies in the AI and big data fields that hold technology patents and wish to relocate to Incheon, including Songdo International City, and branch office establishment is also possible.
Incheon TP plans to select about six companies and provide office rent support of up to 30 million KRW per company for two years.
Additionally, various services such as AI-based business model commercialization, consulting for registration on the Amazon Marketplace (AWS Marketplace), and support for participation in government project proposals will be available.
Applications for support can be submitted by downloading and filling out the application form from the Incheon TP website by the 17th of next month and sending it via email.
An Incheon TP official stated, "We plan to accelerate agglomeration through the relocation of AI and big data-related companies from other regions," adding, "We will create the optimal environment to lead co-growth with existing companies."
