[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver announced on the 24th that it will provide a comprehensive typhoon information service where users can simultaneously check wind and precipitation videos, news, special live broadcasts, and user reports to prepare for the impact of typhoons.

Users can view various information at once through search results for typhoon-related keywords, including ▲typhoon path ▲typhoon size and intensity ▲48-hour forecast videos of wind and precipitation caused by the typhoon ▲news, special live broadcasts, and user reports.

Naver marks the typhoon's path on the map from the time of occurrence to the future arrival point, increasing the circle size and deepening the color intensity as the typhoon's size and strength increase, allowing users to clearly check the typhoon's movement path and intensity.

Additionally, when multiple typhoons come in succession, the service supports viewing information on subsequent typhoons in connection.

Along with this, detailed information about the typhoon's size, direction, and location is provided as a timeline card at the top of the typhoon map, allowing users to observe the hourly progression.

Naver also offers forecast videos together with weather prediction analysis and aerial photographs from the global weather company Weathernews, enabling users to visually examine the typhoon's impact area through videos.

Yoo Bongseok, Head of Naver Service Operations, stated, "We have enhanced the typhoon-related information service so that users can easily check various information related to the approaching typhoon and prepare for damage. Starting with typhoon information, we plan to provide services that allow users to check comprehensive disaster information for various natural and social disasters such as earthquakes and fires with higher visibility."
