[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Classys announced on the 17th that its sales and operating profit for the second quarter reached 29.5 billion KRW and 16.1 billion KRW, respectively, marking increases of 102% and 152% compared to the same period last year.
This surpassed the highest quarterly sales and operating profit records. The global cumulative sales volume of its flagship product, Shurink (overseas name Ultraformer III), has exceeded 8,000 units.
The strong performance this quarter was largely attributed to the overseas business division. Classys’ export amount in the second quarter reached 20.5 billion KRW, setting a new quarterly export record. Brazil, a key market, showed signs of recovery despite a second lockdown due to the resurgence of COVID-19. Other countries experienced about a 53% increase in sales compared to the previous quarter, reflecting the peak season effect in the aesthetic medical device industry. Following Brazil, countries with high sales growth include Russia, Japan, Australia, the Middle East, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Domestic sales also returned to a recovery trend after four quarters. There has been steady demand growth for Shurink products such as iShurink, V-Shurink, and S-Shurink, as well as increased demand for various products using HIFU technology like Ulfit and Scizer.
Meanwhile, Classys is focusing on final research and development ahead of the Shurink Universe upgrade this year and the launch of new Voluma products from next year onward. Additionally, to enhance market penetration in each overseas country, the company is expanding customized product development and marketing efforts.
