[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suhwan] The European Union (EU) industrial production in June declined more than expected.
On the 12th (local time), Eurostat, the EU's statistical agency, announced that Eurozone industrial production in June fell by 0.3% compared to the previous month. This is 0.1 percentage points lower than the market expectation of a 0.2% decrease.
Eurostat also reported that industrial production increased by 9.7% compared to the same period last year. This figure is also lower than the market forecast of a 10.4% increase.
Meanwhile, May's Eurozone industrial production was revised to a 1.1% decrease month-on-month and a 20.6% increase year-on-year.
