Kim Jeong-bae, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will welcome the national team returning from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics at Incheon International Airport at 7:55 PM on the 9th. He plans to encourage and congratulate the athletes who overcame difficulties such as COVID-19 and the Olympic postponement and demonstrated their passion and skills over the past 17 days. Considering the spread of COVID-19, the welcome ceremony will be simplified, including the presentation of flower bouquets to the team, the team leader's report on competition results, and a group commemorative photo. Vice Minister Kim said, “The passion, solidarity, and friendship of our athletes delivered a powerful inspiration and new hope to the people exhausted by COVID-19,” and added, “I sincerely thank all those involved who spared no effort to support the safe completion of the games and the safe return home.”
