[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Yoon Hee-sook, a member of the People Power Party who declared her presidential bid, launched a fierce criticism against Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, on the 9th, saying, "For the people, an immoral candidate is a greater disaster than a candidate who lacks study."
On the same day, Yoon wrote on her Facebook, "I have never seen a presidential candidate like Governor Lee. Despite polarization being the key issue of the era, when he talked about basic income, saying 'Let's distribute money equally to all citizens,' I just thought, 'He is someone who lacks study and is easily deceived by those around him,'" she said.
She continued, "But after seeing Governor Lee's pledge to build one million apartments worth 1 billion won near subway stations, allowing people to live with a lifelong monthly rent of 600,000 won without using national funds, I realized that this is not a matter of intellect but a matter of morality," she pointed out.
Earlier, on the 3rd, Governor Lee announced a pledge to supply more than 2.5 million houses during his term, including more than one million basic houses. However, when asked about the locations for the basic housing supply, he responded, "At this point, it is neither possible nor appropriate to specify any particular location."

Regarding this, Yoon said, "Seeing how he cleverly twists the intent of questions, I was horrified thinking, 'It's not because he was poorly coached by others, but because he himself is already a master of the technique of lying and dodging,'" and directly attacked, "When such a person gains power, I shudder to think what will happen to the country."
Furthermore, she criticized, "The most important virtue of a politician, far beyond lack of preparation, is 'honesty,'" adding, "This is not just a matter of insufficient competence, but a person who poses a fatal risk to the country and its people, so do not dare to lecture our candidates."
Meanwhile, on the 5th, in an interview with Hankook Ilbo, Governor Lee criticized former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl, saying, "It's ridiculous to say now that he is studying (state affairs), but if he is going to study, shouldn't he do it properly?"
Regarding former Board of Audit and Inspection Chairman Choi Jae-hyung, he said, "I watched his announcement for candidacy and thought it was too much. When asked by reporters, he answered in a way that meant, 'I don't know anything now. I'll talk later,' but is someone who claims to be responsible for the fate of a country joking around?" He criticized, "It made me think he disrespects the people and the nation and takes the presidency lightly."
