[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The South Korean women's volleyball team suffered a complete defeat against Brazil in the women's volleyball semifinals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The South Korean women's volleyball team lost to Brazil with a set score of 0-3 (16-25, 16-25, 16-25) in the semifinals held on the 6th at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. South Korea had also lost 0-3 in their first group stage match against Brazil.
The Korean team will compete against Serbia for the bronze medal at 9 a.m. on the 8th. If they win against Serbia, it will be their first Olympic medal in 45 years since the bronze medal at the 1976 Montreal Games.
Brazil, who defeated South Korea, will play the final against the United States at 1:30 p.m. on the 8th. In the 2012 London Games final, Brazil defeated the United States 3-1 to win the gold medal.
