Cha Deok-cheol, deputy spokesperson of the Ministry of Unification, responded to reporters' questions during the regular briefing about the recent South Korea-U.S. consultations held in the United States, saying, "We reviewed not only the tasks that South Korea and the U.S. should jointly promote but also the cooperation tasks that North and South Korea would independently pursue."
Earlier, on the 4th (local time), Lim Gap-su, head of the Peace Diplomacy Planning Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held director-level consultations with Chung Park, U.S. Deputy Special Representative for North Korea, in Washington DC.
