Lotte Nestle Korea's Nestle Professional division has launched the global plant-based meat brand ‘Harvest Gourmet’ in Korea, officially entering the B2B plant-based meat solution market.
The ‘Harvest Gourmet’ brand targets flexitarians (Flexible + Vegetarian) who prioritize health and taste while aiming to reduce meat consumption, but its excellent texture and flavor are expected to offer menu variety to general customers as well.
Currently, three products are available in Korea: the 113g patty ‘Harvest Gourmet Sensational Burger,’ the cutlet-style ‘Harvest Gourmet Schnitzel,’ and the piece-form ‘Harvest Gourmet Chargrilled Piece.’ All are characterized by their versatility in various cooking methods and menu applications. Additionally, two types of minced ‘Harvest Gourmet Mince’ are scheduled for release in the second half of this year, with plans to continuously expand the product lineup to strengthen competitiveness.
A representative from Lotte Nestle Korea’s Nestle Professional division stated, “Harvest Gourmet products are manufactured at Nestle’s Malaysia factory, which is known as one of the few factories in Asia capable of producing vegan products,” adding, “The products hold internationally recognized certifications such as the V-Label and Halal certification, which is a major advantage in safely supplying verified products.”
As ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) has become a key topic in the industry recently, plant-based meat, recognized as an eco-friendly ingredient, is acting as a market catalyst. Along with this, industry interest in Lotte Nestle Korea Nestle Professional’s Harvest Gourmet products is expected to increase.
