Visited National Jungang Youth Training Center used as a Living Treatment Center to encourage medical staff and others
Minister Jeong Young-ae of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family visited the 'Seoul Municipal Hwagok Youth Center After-School Academy' on the 5th to inspect the measures taken for COVID-19 prevention and heatwave response.
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Jeong Young-ae, Minister of Gender Equality and Family, visits the '2nd Central Residential Treatment Center' set up in a youth facility to check on its operation status.
On the 6th, Minister Jeong visits the COVID-19 '2nd Central Residential Treatment Center' established at the National Central Youth Center in Cheonan, Chungnam.
The National Central Youth Center is a youth facility operated for youth training activities, and has been used as a residential treatment center since July 13th upon the request of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters.
The 2nd Central Residential Treatment Center, designated by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters, can accommodate up to 400 people. Currently, about 200 people are admitted and receiving treatment. It was also operated as a residential treatment center from March to May last year and from December to February this year, treating about 1,300 people.
Minister Jeong Young-ae expressed gratitude to the medical staff dedicated to treating COVID-19 patients, saying, "I hope the patients recover quickly and the COVID-19 situation calms down soon so that everyone can return to their daily lives," encouraging the medical staff and related personnel.
