[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actor Lee Je-hoon's directorial debut features Jung Hae-in as the lead and Pyo Ye-jin in a cameo role. The collaboration of these top stars united by strong loyalty is drawing intense attention for the synergy it will create.
On the 5th, Asia Economy exclusively reported that Jung Hae-in will star in Lee Je-hoon's first directed project, the 'Unframed' project.
Lee Je-hoon and Jung Hae-in began their first shoot on the 4th at a location in Seoul and continued filming until dawn, showing their deep affection for the film. The two are still filming as of this report.
Additionally, Pyo Ye-jin will also make a special appearance in the work. Having built a friendship while working together on the SBS drama 'Taxi Driver' which ended in May, she readily agreed to appear in Lee Je-hoon's directorial debut despite her brief role, promising a surprise appearance.
Jung Hae-in and Lee Je-hoon have maintained a close friendship based on deep trust. Typically, actors do not receive a fee for appearing in short films. It is said that Jung Hae-in gladly decided to participate due to Lee Je-hoon's sincerity and the genuine nature of the project.
Director Lee Je-hoon recently presented a work reflecting the realities and concerns of the younger generation focused on stock market fever and financial investment trends among people in their 20s and 30s. He personally wrote the short film’s script and directed it.
The project is produced by Hardcut, a film company established by Lee Je-hoon along with director Yang Kyung-mo and producer Kim Yoo-kyung, and will be released as an original series on the online streaming platform Watcha this December as part of the 'Unframed' project. Alongside Lee Je-hoon, actors Park Jung-min, Choi Hee-seo, and Son Seok-gu each direct and present short films. The three actors have completed filming, and Lee Je-hoon is currently the last to shoot.
Jung Hae-in began filming the short film immediately after finishing shooting for JTBC’s new drama 'Snowdrop'. He reportedly agreed to appear enthusiastically upon hearing the news of Lee Je-hoon's directorial work. Although he is an actor who can attract major commercial film investments by name alone, he willingly decided to participate in Lee Je-hoon's sincere and heartfelt short film project. Attention is focused on what kind of synergy this special collaboration between the two actors will produce.
