Cumulative 191 Cases... In-Depth Epidemiological Investigation Underway Including Movement Routes and Contact Tracing
[Mokpo＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] In Mokpo, Jeollanam-do, three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported consecutively, raising alarms for the quarantine authorities.
According to Mokpo City, case 189 is a man in his 30s, case 190 is a man in his 20s, and case 191 is a man in his 60s.
Cases 189 and 190 were classified as close contacts and had been in self-quarantine since the 29th of last month. They tested positive in diagnostic tests conducted before the release from self-quarantine on the 4th.
Case 191 developed symptoms on the 3rd, underwent diagnostic testing on the 4th, and was confirmed positive on the 5th.
The city conducted disinfection at their residences and visited locations, and is conducting an in-depth epidemiological investigation on case 191, including tracing movement paths and contacts.
Cases 189 and 190 were transferred to the Gangjin Residential Treatment Center, and case 191 was transferred to the Naju Residential Treatment Center.
As of the 5th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Mokpo City is 191.
