[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 5th that it will reselect the 40 public-type daycare centers currently in operation to provide stable public childcare services.
A public-type daycare center is a system that selects excellent private and home daycare centers that do not receive government support for labor costs, supports their operating expenses, and applies strengthened operating standards to provide high-quality childcare services to infants and young children.
The selected daycare centers will receive operating expenses such as teacher labor costs, preschool class operating expenses, and educational environment improvement expenses for three years.
Nationwide, about 2,200 daycare centers are designated and managed as public-type daycare centers.
In Jeonbuk, a total of 89 public-type daycare centers are in operation, including the 40 daycare centers reselected this time.
Meanwhile, Jeonbuk Province plans to expand the scale to about 110 centers in the future through selection procedures such as recruitment announcements, following the additional allocation of 18 public-type daycare centers from the Ministry of Health and Welfare this month.
