[Exclusive] Director Lee Je-hoon and Actor Jung Hae-in, Special Meeting in 'Unframed'

According to Asia Economy's report on the 5th, actor Lee Je-hoon will take the director's chair for the first time in the short film project 'Unframed,' with Jung Hae-in starring as the main character.

The film began shooting on the 4th under strict quarantine measures and is currently in production. Lee Je-hoon and Jung Hae-in have built a strong friendship based on deep trust. The special collaboration between director and actor is drawing attention from the film industry.

The project is produced by Hardcut, a film company established by Lee Je-hoon along with director Yang Kyung-mo and producer Kim Yu-kyung, and is part of the 'Unframed' project, an original series to be released on the online streaming platform (OTT) Watcha this December. Alongside Lee Je-hoon, actors Park Jung-min, Choi Hee-seo, and Son Seok-gu each direct and present short films. The three actors have already completed filming, and Lee Je-hoon is currently the last to shoot.

Director Lee Je-hoon recently presented a work reflecting the realities and concerns of the younger generation focused on stock market fever and financial investment trends among the 20s and 30s, writing and directing the short film himself.

Lee Je-hoon is a leading actor in Chungmuro, headlining numerous films. Continuously showcasing diverse roles in various projects, he now takes on filmmaking. His love for cinema is well known. Even on his days off, he visits theaters to watch and deeply understand films, earning him a reputation as a cinephile. Interest is high in the work he will present after long preparation.

Jung Hae-in is currently filming a short film immediately after completing shooting for JTBC's new drama 'Snowdrop.' He reportedly agreed to appear in Lee Je-hoon's directorial project without hesitation. Although he is an actor who leads investment in large-scale commercial films by name alone, he willingly decided to participate in Lee Je-hoon's sincere and authentic short film. Meanwhile, Hardcut, led by Lee Je-hoon, plans to present a variety of genre works starting with 'Unframed,' including the music melodrama 'Class Time Her,' co-produced with Naver Webtoon; the occult thriller 'Phantom,' co-produced with Climax Studio; the Spanish hit action thriller 'Celda 211'; and a remake of the crime noir 'Trivisa,' produced by director Derek Tsang.

Furthermore, Jung Hae-in is preparing for the release of the Netflix original 'D.P.'
