[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County announced on the 5th that it has signed an investment agreement worth 7.4 billion KRW with Koril Co., Ltd. (CEO Oh Hyun-gyu), a manufacturer of special automobile parts.
Koril is a small and medium-sized enterprise specializing in the manufacturing and sales of industrial reels, AMP SYSTEM, and special automobile parts.
Through this investment agreement, Koril plans to invest 7.4 billion KRW by 2022 to establish a new production plant on an industrial site of 15,686㎡ in the Wanju Technovalley 2nd General Industrial Complex and hire about 40 new employees.
Additionally, Koril intends to relocate its Incheon factory to Wanju and pursue stable growth based in Wanju.
CEO Oh Hyun-gyu said, “The persistent persuasion and efforts, including Jeollabuk-do and Wanju County’s active investment attraction activities and preparation of investment incentive support measures, led to the investment in Wanju County,” adding, “We will strive to make this investment a stepping stone to greatly contribute to the local economy of Wanju County and Jeollabuk-do.”
Wanju County Governor Park Seong-il also responded, “We are pleased to work with the top company in Korea in the AMP SYSTEM field,” and said, “We will actively cooperate so that Koril can grow into the world’s best company based in Wanju County.”
Meanwhile, the ‘AMP SYSTEM’ refers to a system that supplies electricity to devices allowing the use of electricity inside a docked ship’s vehicle even when the diesel engine is turned off.
