[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Samhwa Paint Industrial Co., Ltd. has completed the establishment of a safe exit path by applying the antiviral paint 'Ansim Doctor' to eight CGV theaters nationwide. The antiviral paint was applied to the exit paths where viewers leave, strengthening quarantine activities to prevent COVID-19.
In April, Samhwa Paint signed a business agreement with CGV to establish a safe exit path for viewers in the COVID-19 era and decided to apply the antiviral paint Ansim Doctor to the exit paths of screening rooms. Accordingly, safe exit paths were established in seven theaters nationwide, including CGV Gangnam, CGV Daejeon Terminal, and CGV Centum City, and the newly opened CGV Yeonnam will also operate the 'Samhwa Paint Ansim Doctor Hall.'
Ansim Doctor, applied to the safe exit paths, is the first domestically patented eco-friendly water-based paint with antiviral, antibacterial, and easy-cleaning properties. It is a comprehensive safe paint that kills 99.9% of airborne viruses (based on picornavirus) upon contact with the paint surface.
Additionally, it has proven antibacterial effects against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and five types of mold through FITI Testing & Research Institute, maintaining a hygienic environment. It has passed eco-friendliness standards by acquiring the Environmental Mark and, for the first time in the domestic industry, the highest grade of the HB Mark, the eco-friendly building material standard certification.
A Samhwa Paint official stated, "Ansim Doctor has already proven its applicability through installation at multiple-use facilities such as HACCP-certified factories, hospitals, daycare centers, libraries, and public institutions," adding, "We hope that the safe exit paths established at CGV will allow people to enjoy leisure activities with peace of mind during the hot weather and the COVID-19 pandemic."
