Lotte Card Signs Business Agreement with National Retired Finance Professionals Association for Financial Education Lotte Card signed a business agreement on the 4th at the National Retired Financial Professionals Association in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to provide financial education for financially vulnerable groups. [Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Lotte Card announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement with the National Retired Financial Professionals Association to provide financial education for financially vulnerable groups.


The signing ceremony, held at the office of the National Retired Financial Professionals Association in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was attended by Min Byung-wook, Head of Consumer Protection at Lotte Card, and Hong Seok-pyo, President of the National Retired Financial Professionals Association, among others.


This business agreement was established to protect the rights and interests of financial consumers and to fulfill social responsibility as a corporate citizen. Through this agreement, Lotte Card and the National Retired Financial Professionals Association plan to jointly design and implement various programs such as financial accident prevention education and basic financial education targeting financially vulnerable groups including persons with disabilities, the elderly, multicultural families, North Korean defectors, and single-parent families.


Since 2014, Lotte Card has partnered with elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide to conduct the 'One Company One School Financial Education' program for youth. Currently, it provides various educational programs to 30 schools, including face-to-face education as well as non-face-to-face education adapted to the COVID-19 situation. With this agreement, Lotte Card plans to strengthen support for financially vulnerable groups and take the lead in protecting financial consumers.


Min Byung-wook, Head of Consumer Protection at Lotte Card, said, "Through continuous educational donations, we will prevent financial fraud targeting financially vulnerable groups such as voice phishing in advance and contribute to the formation of a desirable advanced financial society."
