[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Ju-hee] Former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol faced criticism for sitting with his legs spread wide, the so-called 'jjeokbeol' posture. After he shared a photo of his pet dog Mari and promised to improve, Rep. Jung Cheong-rae of the Democratic Party of Korea criticized him again, saying, "Is it really necessary to involve a dog that can't speak?"
On the 4th, Rep. Jung wrote on Facebook, "When your bad habit is criticized, you should just coolly say 'It's wrong' and 'I will fix it.' What crime did Mari, who is caught up in this without knowing the reason, commit? Is it the fault of having a bad dad?"
He added, "Usually, parents cover up their children's faults, but you claim to be a dad and even involve your pet dog... Is this a joke?" and criticized, "Are you a bad dad? A terrible dad?"
Earlier, former Prosecutor General Yoon posted a photo on the pet dog's Instagram account 'Toristagram' showing one of his dogs, Mari, lying down with her hind legs spread wide open.
Yoon wrote, "Jjeokbeol Mari. Mari can spread up to 180 degrees. Dad's genetics," and added, "Please look forward to seeing both Dad and Mari improve every day. Reducing by 0.1cm daily."
Previously, Yoon was criticized for sitting with his legs excessively spread at various events. Some pointed out his posture as "authoritative" and "the posture of a person in power." In response to the ongoing criticism, Yoon appeared to show his willingness to fix it by making a 'self-dis' comment.
In response, Rep. Jung posted another message on the same day, saying, "Thoughts lead to words, words lead to actions, actions lead to habits, habits lead to character, and character determines destiny," once again criticizing former Prosecutor General Yoon.
