[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Jinju City Healthy Family Support Center in Gyeongnam signed a business agreement with Chamjoeun Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic on the 4th for the ‘Safe Pregnancy, Healthy Birth Network’.

The agreement ceremony was held as part of Jinju City's ‘Pregnancy and Childbirth Conflict Counseling Project’ to support teenagers, adults, and families experiencing crisis conflicts due to unexpected pregnancies and unprepared childbirth.

Through this agreement, the Jinju City Healthy Family Support Center and the local specialized medical service institution Chamjoeun Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic will collaborate to provide customized welfare services for safe pregnancy and childbirth and promote mutual exchange and cooperation.

The Jinju City Pregnancy and Childbirth Conflict Counseling Project offers counseling services that systematically provide emotional support for psychological difficulties caused by sudden pregnancy and childbirth, as well as information related to pregnancy termination (abortion), adoption, and child-rearing. It also supports parent education, connections with specialized support institutions including residential facilities, social welfare service agencies, medical service institutions, and accompaniment services.

The center operates the pregnancy and childbirth conflict counseling service free of charge. Counseling applications are available on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through face-to-face counseling, telephone counseling, and cyber counseling (search ‘Jinju City Pregnancy and Childbirth Counseling Center’ on Kakao Channel).

A center official stated, “Teenage unmarried youths or unmarried mothers often feel bewildered by unexpected pregnancies and do not know where to seek help, leading them to struggle alone. We hope that through this agreement, they will be able to receive the necessary services,” and urged citizens to show active interest.
