Gwangju Nambu Fire Station, Emergency Medical Director Evaluates Severe Emergency Patients

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Nambu Fire Station (Chief Lee Jeong-ja) announced on the 4th that it conducted a practical evaluation for severe emergency patients under the guidance of an emergency medical director.

This evaluation targeted 30 cases of transport of severe emergency patients such as cardiac arrest, stroke, myocardial infarction, and severe trauma to emphasize the importance of emergency treatment and improve the quality of emergency medical care.

As the number of severe emergency patients increases, the continuous education and evaluation by emergency medical directors are becoming increasingly important.

Professor Ryu Hyun-ho, Director of Medical Support and Emergency Medicine at Jeonnam National University Hospital, said, "For cardiac arrest and severe emergency patients, the initial on-site treatment by paramedics dispatched to the scene is very important," adding, "We will do our best in the evaluation to save more patients' lives."
