[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 4th that on the 27th of last month, Hugreen Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Dae-heon) donated 10 million KRW in scholarship funds to the Muan County Seungdal Scholarship Foundation to be used for nurturing talent.
Hugreen Co., Ltd., located in Samhyang Agricultural and Industrial Complex, is an eco-friendly organic fertilizer manufacturer. Through this donation, the company practiced sharing by returning business profits earned locally back to students in the area.
CEO Lee Dae-heon said, “I decided to donate the scholarship funds to contribute even a little to fostering local talents who will lead the future,” and added, “I hope the scholarship funds will be delivered well to students who truly need help.”
Governor Kim San stated, “In a situation where it has been very difficult to raise scholarship funds due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, Hugreen Co., Ltd.’s donation is very welcome like a timely rain,” and said, “The entrusted scholarship funds will be used valuably to help our local talents realize their dreams and hopes.”
Meanwhile, the Muan County Seungdal Scholarship Foundation, established in 1994, provides scholarships twice a year in the first and second half of the year to nurture local talents. Applications for the second half of this year’s scholarships will be accepted starting from the 20th.
