[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] SPA brand SPAO, operated by E-Land, received a commendation from the Minister of National Defense for its donation campaign supporting military personnel.

The commendation ceremony took place on the 3rd at the Ministry of National Defense building located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, attended by E-Land World CEO Choi Woonsik and Deputy Minister of National Defense Park Jaemin.

SPAO was recognized for its contributions in actively supporting various campaigns and improving working conditions for military personnel, starting with the 72nd Armed Forces Day campaign through a business agreement with the Ministry of National Defense since 2020, and received the commendation.

Last winter, SPAO donated 10,000 units of the thermal innerwear ‘Warmtech’ to the Army’s 21st Infantry Division defending the front line of the Korean Peninsula, and in June, donated 10,000 units of cooling underwear ‘Cooltech’ to the 5th Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, where soldiers endure hot weather, demonstrating efforts to improve the working environment of military personnel.

Choi Woonsik, CEO of E-Land World, said, “It is an honor to receive this commendation for doing a little to help the military personnel who work hard for the country,” adding, “We will continue to grow as a brand that can exert a positive influence on society.”

Meanwhile, SPAO has continued donations to support not only military personnel but also COVID-19 screening clinic medical staff, homeless people, and other social contributors and vulnerable groups.
