[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The fan club of trot singer Lim Young-woong donated vocal training equipment to Lim Young-woong's alma mater, Kyungbok University.

Kyungbok University announced on the 4th that on the 2nd, at the Cultural Hall of the Namyangju Campus in Gyeonggi Province, Lim Young-woong's fan club 'Lim Young-woong HERO KING MUSIC' donated vocal training equipment to the university's Department of Practical Music.

Lim Young-woong HERO KING MUSIC explained that the donation was planned to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Lim Young-woong's debut (Practical Music Department, class of 2010). The donated items include respiratory muscle strengthening devices and vocal microphones used for classes and practice, which Lim Young-woong has used since his university days while nurturing his dream of becoming a singer.

The donated items are worth about 6 million KRW in total, including 40 Powerbreathe devices for respiratory muscle training and 10 SM58 vocal microphones. The respiratory muscle strengthening devices, which help maintain steady long breaths while singing, will be provided to all first-year students in the Practical Music Department.

Lim Young-woong HERO KING MUSIC is a fan cafe supporting Lim Young-woong's music.

A representative of Lim Young-woong's fan club said, "To celebrate the 5th anniversary of his debut, we planned an event fitting the nature of a fan club supporting singer Lim Young-woong's songs. Inspired by his encouragement to juniors on a broadcast saying, 'Let's meet on the field after success,' we decided to donate equipment to help the vocal training of juniors at Lim Young-woong's alma mater."

Choi Chan-ho, head of the Practical Music Department at Kyungbok University, expressed expectations, saying, "The donation of vocal training equipment from the fan club of Lim Young-woong, who has risen as a leading trot singer in Korea, will be a great help to juniors dreaming of becoming musicians."

The Practical Music Department at Kyungbok University has produced many musicians, including Lim Young-woong, the winner of Mr. Trot, KBS drama OST producer Gaemi (real name Kang Dong-yoon), and rising musical star actor Kim Hwan-hee.
