Receive Various Benefits Including Increased Policy Fund Loan Limits and Preferential Interest Rate Support
[Gwangyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seonsik] On the 3rd, Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced that it had the highest number of companies selected as ‘2021 Jeollanam-do Promising Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)’ with a total of 9 companies.
Jeollanam-do selects ‘Promising SMEs in Jeollanam-do’ annually to discover and support excellent local SMEs with high growth potential and outstanding technology, nurturing them into strong and medium-sized enterprises.
Promising SMEs are selected by Jeollanam-do through a comprehensive evaluation among SMEs in the province with an average sales revenue of over 2 billion KRW in the past three years, based on financial status evaluation, technology assessment, and efforts to create jobs, after document screening by city and county governments and recommendations.
This year, a total of 56 companies were selected in Jeollanam-do, and all 9 companies recommended by Gwangyang City were selected as promising SMEs, achieving remarkable results.
The promising SMEs selected from Gwangyang City this time are ▲ Samwoo Eco Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Yoonja) ▲ PD Tech Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Jinwan) ▲ Seoho Electric Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Seungho) ▲ Seongwon Co., Ltd. (CEO Oh Gwonsuk) ▲ Hyoseok Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Hyosu) ▲ Shinyoung Engineering Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Boksik) ▲ Gwangyang Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Younghoon and one other) ▲ Cheonghae Materials Co., Ltd. (CEO Oh Suhyun) ▲ Jeil System Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Chunggun).
With this, Gwangyang City now has a total of 31 promising SMEs in Jeollanam-do, including 9 companies selected in 2019 and 13 companies in 2020.
The selected companies will receive various preferential benefits such as increased loan limits for SME development funds, interest support and preferential treatment on loans, and additional points when participating in sales and export-related projects during the designated 3-year period according to Jeollanam-do’s SME development strategy by growth stage.
The city provides various preferential treatments to the selected companies, including increased interest support rates for SME loan interest subsidies, awards for top executives, and additional points when participating in industrial property rights certification support projects.
Lee Hwayeop, head of the Regional Economy Division, said, “We thank the companies that have been recognized for their technology and competitiveness through continuous research and development despite the domestic and international economic downturn caused by COVID-19, and we will spare no support to help the selected promising SMEs grow into representative local companies.”
