[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jonghwa] Green Package Solution, an eco-friendly new material packaging company, is promoting the development of 'eco-friendly special coating materials' through government funding.
Green Package Solution is investing a total of 4 billion KRW, including its own research funds and government-supported R&D funds, in a project to develop world-class eco-friendly coating materials over the course of about two years.
Green Package Solution plans to apply the eco-friendly special coating materials, developed for liquid containers such as cosmetics and beverages where product preservation and freshness are essential, to '6OUT (SixOut)', which naturally decomposes within six months when buried.
6OUT, which applies special treatment and coating technology, can replace plastic containers and packaging materials used in various products such as cosmetics, food, and meal kits. It meets all requirements for standardization, durability, and mass production, making it competitive enough to substitute plastics.
Seunghoon An, CEO of Green Package Solution, said, "The development of eco-friendly special coatings is a future-oriented and sustainable eco-friendly technology that must be secured to replace more products," adding, "Based on the development results, we will focus on commercializing eco-friendly products applicable to various industries."
