GS Construction Introduces KakaoTalk Consultation Service 'Xi Chatbot'... Industry First

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] GS Engineering & Construction announced on the 2nd that it will operate the industry's first artificial intelligence (AI)-based chatbot service. This service provides key sales information of Xi Apartments through KakaoTalk.

GS Engineering & Construction has been operating 'Xi Chatbot' since June in collaboration with Kakao Enterprise. This allows customers interested in apartments built by GS Engineering & Construction to inquire about information anytime and anywhere, 24 hours a day.

While existing chatbots in the construction industry have been limited to short answers, the company explained that 'Xi Chatbot' enables natural conversations as if talking with a consultant. Even if customers ask in sentences, the chatbot understands the context and provides appropriate answers, allowing for natural conversational responses.

Customers can search for complexes based on various criteria such as complex name and types of special supply, and also utilize personalized services like reservation application and inquiry, checking their complex information, and payment history. This was made possible by applying Kakao Enterprise's high-performance natural language processing model AML (Advanced Machine Learning) technology.

GS Engineering & Construction explained that this service aligns with this year's management policy of 'strengthening digital capabilities and discovering new businesses through eco-friendly management.' A GS Engineering & Construction official said, "Through collaboration, we have enhanced our digital capabilities and elevated customer service to a new level," adding, "We will continue to strengthen various communication channels with customers, including reviewing applications in the CS field in the future."
