[Gangjin＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] Gangjin County, Jeonnam, selected five public officials who produced tangible results from the perspective of residents as the 2021 first half Excellent Public Officials for Proactive Administration on the 23rd of last month.
According to the county on the 2nd, the excellent public officials were selected by the Gangjin County Proactive Administration Committee, which comprehensively reviewed five cases submitted through department and resident recommendations based on resident impact, importance and difficulty of work, proactiveness, creativity and expertise, and policy dissemination potential.
The proactive administration cases selected as excellent public officials include the registration of the Gangjin County Yeonbangjuk ecological circulation waterway as a national important agricultural heritage as a cost area (Department of Eco-friendly Agriculture), introduction and operation of non-face-to-face online Cheongja auction (Onbid) (Goryeo Celadon Museum), and contribution to revitalizing the local economy through commercial district revitalization projects (Job Creation Department), totaling three cases.
The five excellent public officials for proactive administration will receive personnel incentives such as the highest grade of performance pay and reward leave.
County Governor Lee Seung-ok said, “To spread a culture of proactive administration within the public service, we will continue to select excellent public officials and provide bold and diverse incentives,” adding, “We will also strive to foster an atmosphere of active and creative work in the public sector to improve the quality of life for residents.”
