Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party, explained that although it was originally coordinated for former Prosecutor General Yoon to join the party on the 2nd, Yoon hurried his entry after the media reported the matter.

On that day, Lee appeared on MBC Radio’s ‘Kim Jong-bae’s Focus’ to explain the details and his stance regarding the process before and after former Prosecutor General Yoon’s party entry.

Lee said, "It seems that (former Prosecutor General Yoon) chose a sudden entry," adding, "He originally consulted with me." He continued, "As the media reported, we had a prior understanding that he would join on the 2nd, but because information was leaked in the middle, the schedule was reportedly changed urgently. Even so, I think it was a part that should have been consulted with me again, and honestly, there seems to be disagreement about where the responsibility for the leak lies. I’m not sure. In terms of the form, it is a very regrettable part."

Lee added, "The schedule can be readjusted, but since I was carrying out local schedules, which is something no one is unaware of, and since party entry inquiries are made to the party secretariat, they inform us. This is somewhat puzzling," he said.

When asked by the host if he felt hurt, he replied, "I don’t even know the intention, so I’m not even at the point of feeling hurt."

Shin Ji-ho, former lawmaker and head of the situation room for former Prosecutor General Yoon’s side, appeared on YTN Radio’s ‘Hwang Bo-sun’s Start New Morning’ and said, "We continued communication after the chicken and beer meeting with Lee," adding, "It was being coordinated for entry in early August. Since too many unproductive and exhausting news were being produced, we thought it would be better to end that as soon as possible, so we hurried the entry."
