[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Singer Park Gun expressed gratitude to seniors Kim Yeon-ja and Jang Yoon-jung, who readily helped him during difficult times.
On the 1st, SBS's 'My Ugly Duckling' (Miwoosae) aired an episode featuring trot singers Kim Yeon-ja and Jang Yoon-jung visiting Park Gun's rooftop room.
That day, while touring Park Gun's rooftop room, Jang Yoon-jung encouraged him by saying, "You are living here at a time when you can just barely see the light, so it's hopeful."
She then shared her own experience of living in a rooftop room with Park Gun, saying, "I won the grand prize at the 'Gangbyeon Gayoje' and thought I would become famous immediately, but I just stayed at home all the time," adding, "There was no work, so time stood still. Whether I was awake or asleep, that was the situation. Cockroaches and woodlice crawled around," revealing the hardships of her rookie days.
In response, Park Gun expressed his thanks, saying, "At first, Yoon-jung noona bought me a lot of meat and gave me pocket money, so I was even able to buy hair loss medicine."
Kim Yeon-ja, who was with them, said, "I met Park Gun at an event in Jeju Island, and his shoes didn't match his outfit at all. It turned out he borrowed the shoes because he didn't have any," and Park Gun confessed that Kim Yeon-ja had contacted him separately to gift him shoes, creating a warm atmosphere.
