[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Major foreign media reported that American pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and Moderna have raised the prices of COVID-19 vaccines supplied to the European Union (EU).


According to reports on the 1st, Pfizer recently increased the vaccine price by more than 25% in its supply contract with the EU, and Moderna raised the vaccine price by more than 10%. As a result, the price per dose of the Pfizer vaccine rose from the previous 15.5 euros to 19.5 euros (about 26,700 KRW).

For the Moderna vaccine, the price per dose increased from 22.6 dollars to 25.5 dollars (29,400 KRW).
