Baseball national team player Kang Baek-ho (kt) aims to revive himself by escaping the pressure of being the cleanup hitter. Manager Kim Kyung-moon will use Kang Baek-ho as the second batter in the game against the Dominican Republic in the first round of the knockout stage of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics baseball tournament, held on the 1st at Yokohama Stadium in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The change in the batting order reflects the hope that he can regain his hitting form without pressure. Kang Baek-ho went hitless in six at-bats over the past two games. Although he drew three walks, he also struck out three times, showing a lackluster performance. Manager Kim Kyung-moon believes Kang Baek-ho is struggling with pressure in his first-ever Olympics. He hopes Kang can focus on recovering his performance without the burden of hitting for extra bases in the second spot. The cleanup spot left by Kang Baek-ho will be taken by Yang Eui-ji (NC). The first batter is Park Hae-min (Samsung), third is Lee Jung-hoo (Kiwoom), fifth is Kim Hyun-soo (LG), sixth is Oh Jae-il (Samsung), seventh is Oh Ji-hwan (LG), eighth is Heo Kyung-min (Doosan), and ninth is Hwang Jae-gyun (kt). The starting pitcher is Lee Eui-ri (KIA).
