[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on the 1st that it will officially launch the 'Logistics-Exclusive Export Voucher Project' to resolve logistics difficulties faced by small and medium-sized export companies.
This project issues vouchers exclusively for logistics-related services to support international freight and local logistics costs. The ministry has secured an additional budget of 3.3 billion KRW to support about 230 companies.
Small and medium-sized enterprises in the materials, parts, equipment, and five major consumer goods and service sectors with export plans by the end of the year, as well as all mid-sized companies, are eligible to apply. Online applications will be accepted from the 2nd to the 13th through the integrated management site for logistics-exclusive export vouchers.
Participating companies can use the vouchers within the limit amount (up to 20 million KRW) for international transportation costs (including insurance fees) and local logistics costs (such as local customs clearance agency fees).
