[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The women's sabre fencing team won the bronze medal in the Olympic team event for the first time.

The Korean women's sabre team, consisting of Kim Ji-yeon (33), Yoon Ji-su (28, both from Seoul Metropolitan Government), Choi Soo-yeon (31), and Seo Ji-yeon (28, both from Ansan City Hall), defeated Italy 45-42 in the bronze medal match of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics team event held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
