[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] Former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, who declared his candidacy for the presidential election, visited the People Power Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 30th and submitted his membership application to Kwon Young-se, Chairman of the External Cooperation Committee.
It is known that Yoon decided to join the party early during a 'chimaek meeting' with Representative Lee Jun-seok on the 25th.
Yoon said, "For a regime change, it is my duty to join the main opposition party and start fairly from the initial primary. By doing so, I believe the People Power Party can gain broader and more universal support from the people, which is why I decided to join the party."
