[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Premium baby products specialist Stokke (STOKKE) announced the results of a survey conducted with customers, while smart home appliance company Tenminds introduced products that can reduce tedious household chores. Premium power tool brand Milwaukee launched a drawer-type toolbox, and eco-friendly wallpaper specialist Jeil Wallpaper announced its success in developing antivirus wallpaper.

Stokke sells one every 2 minutes... What is the secret to the popularity of the national baby chair?

Premium baby products specialist 'Stokke (STOKKE)' conducted a survey of 275 customers who purchased the baby chair 'Tripp Trapp' at eight department store direct management stores during June. The survey revealed that the decisive reason for purchasing the Tripp Trapp was 'positive user reviews,' accounting for 35% of the total, the highest proportion.

Following this were ▲long usage period (25%) ▲brand trust (15%) ▲durability (11%) ▲interior design elements (6%). Among the respondents, 46% cited 'recommendations from acquaintances' as the way they first learned about the Tripp Trapp.

This indicates that after obtaining positive information about the Stokke Tripp Trapp from acquaintances, consumers purchased it considering the high satisfaction and usability of actual users, reflecting strong consumer trust in the long-established Stokke brand and the Tripp Trapp.

Notably, among the 275 respondents, two purchased the chair as adults for 'myself, not for a child.' The Tripp Trapp can be adjusted in 14 stages for the seat and footrest as the user grows and can support up to 136 kg, making it usable for a lifetime from newborns to adults.

A Stokke representative said, "The Tripp Trapp was first imported to Korea in 2006, and last year, the cumulative domestic sales increased by 123% compared to the previous year (2019). Thanks to the voluntary word-of-mouth from mothers, its popularity remains unchanged."

Tenminds draws attention with 'Hanbonae' to overcome household chore laziness

In the home appliance industry, demand is increasing for so-called 'aunt appliances' that make household chores easier. As people spend more time at home, dishwashers, food waste disposers, and robot vacuum cleaners that efficiently reduce housework time have become essential appliances.

Recently, as the number of 'home cookers' tired of daily delivery food has increased, 'home cook appliances' that make cooking easier are gaining attention as new convenient aunt appliances.

Cooking remains a tedious and difficult household chore whether one is a beginner or an experienced expert. The Tenminds smart cooker 'Hanbonae (HBA-01)' is attracting attention as a smart kitchen appliance that can solve this hassle.

Hanbonae reduces the burden of household chores for housewives who have felt the lifelong burden of kitchen work. By preparing only the ingredients and pressing a single button, four different dishes?rice, soup, side dishes, and dessert?are simultaneously completed in four separate compartments. Additionally, with 12 built-in manuals, all cooking methods such as steaming, boiling, and simmering can be easily done.

A Tenminds representative said, "Analyzing the home shopping sales data currently ongoing in July, following May, more than 50% of buyers were in their 50s to 60s. Even experienced housewives find cooking tiring and bothersome, but they highly appreciate that Hanbonae allows them to prepare a meal easily," adding that it is very popular.
