[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi]Fifty-five financial institutions, under the sponsorship of the Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service, will hold a joint financial sector recruitment fair online in a non-face-to-face format over two days on September 8 and 9.
According to the Bankers Association on the 1st, the fair was originally scheduled for the 25th and 26th of this month, but due to the reduction of employment training and internships caused by the resurgence of COVID-19, the schedule was changed to September 8 and 9 to provide job seekers, who are having difficulties preparing for employment, with a period to strengthen their employment capabilities.
The recruitment fair website, which has been transformed into a 'Financial Sector Continuous Recruitment Information Platform,' offers free employment content such as a financial sector employment white paper and artificial intelligence (AI) aptitude tests. Video content including online recruitment briefings and employment senior talk concerts has surpassed 100,000 cumulative views within just one month.
NongHyup Bank, Shinhan Bank, Woori Bank, Hana Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea, and Kookmin Bank plan to conduct non-face-to-face interviews on September 8 and 9. Outstanding interviewees will be granted an exemption from the first document screening in future open recruitment. Additionally, 46 financial institutions including banks, securities firms, insurance companies, card companies, financial public enterprises, and financial associations will simultaneously conduct live recruitment consultations explaining their recruitment processes and talent requirements, along with Q&A sessions.
Applications for non-face-to-face interviews can be submitted from the 2nd to the 10th of next month, and applications for recruitment consultations can be made from the 16th to the 24th through the recruitment fair website.
A banking sector official stated, "We expect that the 2021 joint financial sector recruitment fair will revitalize the challenging job market caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."
