Dong-A Otsuka Provides Pocari Sweat to Vaccine Recipients and Medical Staff

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Dong-A Otsuka announced on the 30th that it has supported Pocari Sweat for COVID-19 vaccine recipients and on-site medical staff at Myongji Hospital.

As COVID-19 vaccinations have become full-scale, Dong-A Otsuka undertook this support to help medical staff burdened with heavy workloads and vaccine recipients stay hydrated.

Jingu Kim, director of Myongji Hospital, stated, “As guided by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, sufficient hydration is essential to prevent mild adverse reactions such as low-grade fever or simple muscle pain after vaccination,” adding, “We are grateful that with Dong-A Otsuka’s support of Pocari Sweat, we can provide an ion beverage that quickly replenishes fluids and electrolytes to vaccine recipients.”

Meanwhile, Dong-A Otsuka has been continuously engaged in social contribution activities by supporting medical staff, fire departments, military units, and others working on the COVID-19 frontlines with beverages and supplies worth 650 million KRW throughout last year.
