[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Changwon National University in Changwon, Gyeongnam announced on the 29th that it has been finally selected as the lead institution for the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute's "Simulation Technology Support Consortium Establishment and Operation Project."
The purpose of the project is to enhance the process efficiency and product competitiveness of local companies by providing simulation technology support such as design and analysis for processes and products to small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies.
In particular, it is promoted to expand the scale and scope of technical support for beneficiary companies by utilizing experts from local universities, research institutes, and industries.
The project is conducted under the leadership of Changwon National University by forming a consortium of simulation experts from industry, academia, and research in the fields of natural sciences and engineering in the region.
In 2021, it will be carried out with a support fund of 700 million KRW from the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, aiming to provide more than 35 technical supports with 550 million KRW allocated for technical support service fees.
The technical support procedure involves technical support requests, project selection committee, matching with technical experts, simulation execution, quality verification committee, and then delivery to the beneficiary companies.
Technical experts wishing to participate in the consortium can submit an application form via email to the Simulation Technology Support Consortium Project Group at Changwon National University.
