[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] As Rep. Jeong Jin-seok of the People Power Party demanded an apology from President Moon Jae-in regarding the guilty verdict on the 'Druking' comment manipulation conspiracy charge and held a solo protest in front of the Blue House, opposition presidential candidates including former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl and former Board of Audit and Inspection Chairman Choi Jae-hyung visited to show their support.
On the morning of the 29th, former Prosecutor General Yoon visited the site of Rep. Jeong's solo protest in front of the Blue House Sarangchae. Yoon actively agreed with Rep. Jeong's call for an apology from President Moon and a thorough investigation. He said, "Rep. Jeong's remarks are absolutely reasonable, and I fully support them," adding, "Since the Supreme Court has issued a final ruling confirming this as a serious illegal act, I believe that as the highest national leader, President Moon should make a statement on this matter and inform the public about how he plans to proceed."
He continued, "I have also investigated election fraud cases in the past, but in terms of public opinion manipulation, this is incomparable to the National Intelligence Service comment scandal, which causes the public to question the legitimacy of the government," emphasizing the need for the president to make a statement.

Following this, former Chairman Choi, a presidential candidate from the People Power Party, also visited the site. He said, "It was only natural to come," and added, "Our party must unite to prevent public opinion manipulation that undermines the election system, the foundation of representative democracy." He further stated, "If the president does not make a clear statement, express regret, or apologize, there is no guarantee that such incidents will not happen again," and "Regardless of active responsibility, I hope this part is clarified."
Earlier that morning, Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, also visited the plaza and called for additional investigations into the case. He said, "The president should address the public regarding the guilty verdict of Kim Kyung-soo and apologize," and added, "There are speculations about the existence of other organizations besides the Druking group, and additional investigations should be conducted to determine whether other organizations exist."
Rep. Jeong has been raising his voice daily criticizing the Druking public opinion manipulation case and urging party members to join relay protests. Through Facebook that day, he said, "The people want the truth of the 'Druking presidential election public opinion manipulation case,' which trampled and destroyed democracy, to be thoroughly investigated without any suspicion," calling it "the people's command."
