[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, demanded additional investigations on the 29th regarding the Druking comment manipulation case. Ahn called for the entire opposition to respond jointly.

On the same day, Ahn visited the solo protest site of Jeong Jin-seok, a member of the People Power Party, in front of the Blue House Sarangchae. Jeong is conducting a solo protest urging President Moon to apologize over the Druking comment manipulation case.

At the site, Ahn condemned, “Since the guilty verdict for former Governor Kim Kyung-soo, President Moon Jae-in has not made any statement for eight days.” He criticized, “The Democratic Party says that President Moon would have won the last presidential election anyway, but that is absolutely wrong. At one point during the last election, it was a close race or I was even ahead, and at that very moment, Druking’s King Crab was activated.”

Ahn said, “Even if we concede a hundred times that President Moon’s chances of winning were high, does that mean it is okay for a likely Olympic gold medalist to dope? Even a gold medalist loses the medal if doping is detected.”

He continued, “This regime’s legitimacy was not just damaged; it never existed from the start,” and added, “The president must address the public with his stance on the guilty verdict of Kim Kyung-soo and apologize.” He further stated, “Additional investigations are necessary,” and argued, “There are speculations that besides the Druking organization, other groups exist. Whether other organizations exist or not, further investigations must be conducted.” He also said, “The mastermind must be uncovered,” and “We must conduct additional investigations to find out who above Kim Kyung-soo knew about and ordered this issue.”

Ahn said, “This presidential election likely involves the worst digital election fraud,” and added, “I believe all opposition presidential candidates and lawmakers must unite and strongly demand action on this issue.”
