Market Kurly to Launch ‘Saetbyeol Delivery’ in Daegu from August... Expansion to Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Within the Year

Market Kurly will expand its dawn delivery service, 'Saetbyeol Delivery,' to the Daegu area starting from the 1st of next month.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Market Kurly announced on the 29th that it will expand its dawn delivery service, ‘Saetbyeol Delivery,’ to the Daegu area starting from the 1st of next month. The service will be available seven days a week and will cover seven districts in Daegu City, excluding Dalseong-gun.

The Daegu Saetbyeol Delivery will be operated in cooperation with CJ Logistics. Market Kurly, which possesses the best dawn delivery capabilities in Korea, packages products in optimal condition at its metropolitan area logistics centers and ships them out. CJ Logistics, equipped with excellent logistics infrastructure, then uses a cold chain system to transport the products to Daegu’s own logistics center, where they undergo detailed sorting before final delivery to customers’ doorsteps. Like in the metropolitan and Chungcheong areas, the Daegu Saetbyeol Delivery will be conducted through a full cold chain system, enabling dawn delivery not only for food but also for non-food items such as beauty products, kitchenware, and home appliances.

Considering the physical distance from the metropolitan area to Daegu, Market Kurly has adjusted the operating hours for Saetbyeol Delivery in Daegu. The order cutoff time has been moved three hours earlier to 8 PM, earlier than in the metropolitan and Chungcheong areas, and the delivery time has been extended by one hour to 8 AM. Customers in Daegu can place orders for Saetbyeol Delivery starting from 11 PM on the 30th, and if payment is completed by 8 PM on the 31st, products will be delivered by 8 AM on the 1st of next month.

Meanwhile, since its launch in May, Market Kurly’s Chungcheong area Saetbyeol Delivery has seen an approximately 60% increase in order volume compared to the initial phase. Market Kurly plans to expand Saetbyeol Delivery, which was previously available only in Seo-gu and Yuseong-gu of Daejeon City, to the entire Daejeon area by mid-August.
